RIP Mark Buhaug

In short: The General Manager to my workplace was shot Friday in an attempted robbery, and died early Saturday morning.
I'll probably expand on this when I'm in the mood, but I'll go ahead and say I wasn't working when it happened, so all know is second hand. That said...Wow, just wow. I'm still a little shocked really, about Mark, about Jason whom I closed with last Wednesday and had worked with for some time who was part of this...Damn, just damn.
One thing I do regret is not talking to the man more. It sounds like he had a nice project he was working on, and he was into art as well.
So yea. Rest in peace Mark.

STEP ONE
Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. One man's trash can be another man's treasure, and all that, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.
You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I wish I knew what I want to do with my life
I wish I could get a break from all these damn fines and tickets
I wish the things I owned would work like they're supposed to
I wish I had the artistic and literary skills to properly write, draw, and color the characters, settings and stories that are bouncing around in my mind
I wish I wasn't so lonely all the time
I wish I knew how to help those who I care about
I wish I had a better work ethic
I wish I could be a better writer
I wish I could be a better artist
I wish I could be a better friend

Update and such

Well the Laptop is back in order...for now. So now I'm well on my way to procrastinating once more. The Sweet Smell of Gunpowder is still not done (though I'm working on it), still have the stories "Terminal Infection" and "Patriotic Demons", both set in my sci-fi setting Rogues, and lastly concept work for rbg.freepgs.com/myndell/index.…, A Game Boy DS RPG/Adventure set in a fantastic world created by qfg (qfg.deviantart.com/). But first, a quick rant about my life...
My first usable paycheck is coming soon! Finally, all that time putting up with crowds of people clamoring for popcorn and nachos and only eating half of the contents before leaving them on the theater floor for me to clean up shall pay off when I FINALLY FIX MY LAPTOP! W00T! W00T TO TEH MAX!
